Counseling II 2024

We are happy to announce that, thanks to support from NCRC, we can host a second group of trauma counseling with European KAD: weekly group counseling sessions led by a Korean trauma specialist with many years of experience with Korean adoptees.

Voices from participants from Group 1 (April – June 2024)

I would recommend it. Sophia’s expertise is great. The exchange is very valuable.

„I was always looking forward to the next session and was very happy to get some „homeworks“ for private resuming. I started this workshop without any expectations but afterwards i see every day that these meetings have been really helpful. I hope that there is going to be a part II and even part III… thank you very much for this experience!

Description

Our group counseling will be an intensive 4-week trauma counseling therapy program designed to provide KADs with a supportive and structured environment to navigate the healing process after experiencing early childhood trauma. This program integrates evidence-based therapeutic techniques, psychoeducation, and personalized counseling to empower participants on their journey toward recovery. Throughout the program, participants will engage in group counseling and break-out sessions. Homework assignments, readings, and experiential exercises will complement the weekly sessions, providing opportunities for deeper reflection and skill application.
